The recent political stuff going on here in Canada

We have a minority government?????

Christ, I feel so delightfully out of touch with the whole stream of politics in general. I spent five years of my life on this stuff and exited a pretty good university with a degree in it (with honours as well, whatever the fuck that means. Probably that I spent a little more money for that extra year - I feel so damnned special) and now I have a passing* interest at best in just about everything.

* "passing" meaning that I only know that we still have a government by the fact that CBC Radio One is a constant in the Cowan house as gravity is to Humanity's house.

All I really care about these days is what happens to me and my friends.

I'm kind of taken aback when I re-read that last sentence, almost to the point where I'd like to take it out and not reveal it to the miniscule segment of the world that choses to visit here. All that I've read and all that I think I believe in leads me to feel slightly embarassed at it, but still , I'm not spurred into action. Let's face it, even though it's not at the pinnacle by far or where I should be especially with what potential I've been told I have since I was a wee lad, my life is comfortable. I can dig comfort these days. Or is it the somec that's holding me down?
