o.k., I'm going to endorse drinking and driving
a bicycle.
I was coming home from my friend Mike McNnair's "I'm going to Australia for grad School for two years so come for free
food and beer" party and I was thinking to myself how cool it is to ride a bike while off-your-ass-drunk. The colours of my
neighbourhood are pretty and serene. They make me think of neon and everything that I like about youth.
It's an experience let me tell you that.
Anyway, I had a pretty good time tonight. I was disappointed that the girl I was going to hit on was the designated driver
for a bunch of her friends (a bad thing for me, probably a good thing for her).
Ever watch a train wreck in slow motion? That's what happens when you're drinking and you try
to hit on someone who's sober. I learned this lesson year's ago so, as such, I did not make the same mistake tonight.
Scott Courtice, Mike was disappointed that you didn't make it out on his last night in Canada. Just something he wanted
to pass along.
I can't wait to go somewhere new . . . I can't wait to meet my future.
I'm still somewhat intoxicated so I can write that without shame.
I found out that someone i went to school with for 10 years was a hemaphrodite . . . . .
that's cool but I hope I didn't embarass him when I saw him. (formerly a her, but if my sister can turn out to be a stripper
than I guess anything's possible).
I went to the Concert For Toronto. I hate Hip fans. They booed Sarah McLachlan (sp?). She came out for an encore
and they booed her even though she had freely given her time and energy to the cause of the concert.
I love the band. I hate their Fans. I really do. They have no respect whatsoever.
If you booed you missed the point of the entire event and I feel sorry for you.
As Gord Downie said "This is for assholes who throw shit at musicians."
Amen Gord, amen.
and I step down from the soapbox.
I know I belong. I'm sick and I'm wrong. What does that make you?
